Reading Connections Volunteer Training: The Power of Positive Language
Every organization has leaders, but each leader must know their strenths and weaknesses. Leaders must also know how to work in a team environment. After carefully assessing the needs of the training, we make sure that the organization's objectives are clear to the employee. Social Designs engages participants interactively to increase trust and positive groups dynamics.
At the end of the training participants will be better able to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Most importantly, they will gain a better understanding of how to collectively connect their skillls with the overall mission of the organization or project mission.

We are certified to teach and train students in the highly acclaimed Roots of Success Environmental Literacy Curriculum which is training and curriculum that increases environmental literacy, builds core academic skills, and prepares people for jobs in the green economy.
Read below for more information.
Roots of Success is a comprehensive environmental education program that increases students understanding of environmental problems and solutions and the green economy and green jobs, while simultaneously strengthening core academic and labor market skills. The program is composed of three parts: (1) teacher training and certification, (2) curriculum and teaching materials, (3) a vibrant Community-of-Practice for certified instructors. Roots of Success was created by Dr. Raquel Pinderhughes
Certificate of Graduation:
Roots of Success has standardized student learning outcomes for students across the country. All students who graduate from the course receive a certificate of graduation that is evidence of competencies and skills gained through the course. This certificate is increasingly being recognized by employers and educational institutions. Industry recognition allows employers to see Roots of Success on a persons resume and conclude that this job applicant has a particular set of environmental, academic, and labor market competencies. It allows administrators in community colleges and universities to articulate the Roots of Success course with 3-4 units of college credits.
